The Maid My Wife Hired

The story

His wife hires a maid, gives her instructions about the household and leaves for work with a reminder to be nice. She'll be back at eight. That leaves a long stretch of the day with the husband, the newcomer and a lot of rooms. The maid asks politely whether her work meets his standards, and keeps asking in a different tone each time. When his wife checks in, everything's fine, just like he says. Episode 2 turns housework into theater: a spilled coffee, a dusting routine that's more performance than cleaning and a woman who is perfectly dutiful and openly amused, since her orders were to look after every room.

Where the heat comes from

Domestic power games: a maid who follows her instructions to the letter and a husband pretending not to notice. A wife on the phone, a clock ticking toward eight and plenty of excuses. Free episodes are cheeky and polite on the surface.
