Staycation with my fiancee's mother

The story

Jake and Sophie are newly engaged and spending a week at her family's lake place. Sophie's mother, Veronica, arrives with opinions, charm and a toast for the engaged pair. Sophie's father is held up at work. After dinner, Sophie turns in, and Veronica claims one dance from her daughter's fiance, telling him to breathe, because she doesn't bite. Not on night one, anyway. Episode 2 starts the next morning: Sophie has been called to town for work, Veronica needs help with a stretch, there's nobody else around, and when she mentions a shower, Jake is the only person to hear it.

Where the heat comes from

The line is a future mother-in-law's wink, and the plan is to behave. The lake keeps everyone close, the schedule leaves gaps, and Veronica fills them. The free episodes stay at dancing and almosts.

Who it suits

For anyone who likes a sunlit slow burn, a confident older woman and a guy who knows better and wanders toward her anyway.
