Veronica's Fitting Room

The story

Veronica has fitted countless grooms, and she has a talent for noticing what they're thinking. Today's customer, five days from his wedding, is already flustered: a call about the venue, his mother feuding with the caterer, and a tailor who needs him out of his jacket to measure the waist. She asks whether he's really ready for marriage and doesn't wait for an answer. Her invitation is for tomorrow, no fiancée, with something more than a suit waiting. Episode 2 has him returning anyway, lying to his fiancée about where he is. Veronica locks the door. Then the fiancée turns up outside, calling his name.

Where the heat comes from

The pull is polite and professional until it isn't: a tape measure, a locked door, a woman who has done this before and a man who knows better. The free episodes keep it to fittings and promises.

Who it suits

Suits anyone who loves a confident, experienced woman, a man in the wrong place and a premise with excellent comic timing.
