The Witch Who Made Me King

The story

Ser Garrick has seven days to claim the crown and a name nobody respects. A woman steps out of the Blackwood and says she knows who he is. She knows what he wants too: seven lords on their knees, two already won over, five spitting on his name. He says his sword will do the persuading. She says she'd love to watch him try. Then she names her price: he comes to her at moonrise, and by morning one lord will have changed sides. Episode 2 spells out the full cost, five nights for five lords. Garrick asks what happens if he says no. She says he stays a knight forever, as the queen regent's riders close in.

Power is the fuel: a kingdom up for grabs, a witch who trades in bargains, and a man who agrees to each one with his eyes open. The free episodes keep the bargaining at moonrise, with the dawn left to the paid ones.
