The King's Chambermaid

The story

During seven days of Harvest Court, the queen sends the king her prettiest servant to help him dress, and the servant makes sure she takes her time. A clumsy mistake over a ring draws a lord's anger, until the king steps in and warns that anyone who bothers her will pay for it. Nobody has ever stood up for her like that before. He asks how to see her again, and her answer is the midnight turndown of his bed. Episode 2 opens with her arrival, her confession that she's been watching him from below stairs for twelve months, and a challenge: if he wants her to stay, he has to say so. Then the queen knocks.

Where the heat comes from

The danger is double: a king breaking vows, a servant who could hang for it and a queen listening through the walls. It's romantic first and naughty second, and the free episodes stay on the right side of the bedchamber door.

Who it suits

Castle romance with a servant-meets-king twist, tender glances over blatant heat and a heroine who knows what she wants: that's the pitch.
