Our New Babysitter

The story

Mrs. Owen is out until midnight. Sophia, the new sitter, settles the house for the night, tells Mr. Owen she's very good at her job and means it, and answers a call from her boyfriend while very obviously doing something else. She asks what time his wife gets home, hears midnight, and reminds him she bills by the hour. In episode 2 the clock is running, and everyone's taken: she has a boyfriend and he has a wife. Then the wife calls to say she's sleeping over at Jen's, and he should pay Sophia for the entire night. Sophia notes she's covered until morning.

Where the heat comes from

Money, a clock and a wife's generous instructions blur the line between work and want. Teasing, bossy comebacks and one phone call at a very bad time carry the free pair, with nothing said that can't be walked back.

Who it suits

Suits viewers who like a confident sitter who calls the shots, a husband who isn't blameless, and a night that turns faster than anyone planned.
