One Room with My Fiancée’s Mother

The story

Holly, his fiancée's mother, is already in the room when he walks in. The wedding has packed the island, the hotel has no space, and someone decided in-laws could share. There's one bed. Holly isn't bothered and says she looks after her roommates. His fiancée phones to say she lands tomorrow and apologizes for the awkward setup. He promises to keep Holly company. Holly refuses to let him take the floor. Episode 2 brings a request for a massage because she's sore, and a pointed line about how good his hands are. He wonders what he's doing. Holly points out the schedule: his fiancée arrives at noon, and tonight is the last evening before his vows.

Where the heat comes from

One bed, one wedding date and an in-law who treats the rule book as a suggestion. The tension is guilt against opportunity, and the first two episodes stay at pillow talk and long silences.

Who it suits

Ideal for fans of wedding-week nerves, a confident mother-in-law, and a will-he-won't-he setup in a hotel by the sea.
