The story

A booking mix-up puts two couples in one mountain cabin. The road is shut, the other rooms are gone, and someone cheerfully says four adults can share two bedrooms without drama. The first evening is all small signals: one wife gets nothing from her husband but a question about his goggles, while Brad's wife mentions, in passing, that her own husband will be on the slopes all day tomorrow.
