The story
Harriet's probation ends tonight. Vanessa, the head nurse, is pushing to get her gone, and the chief of surgery keeps looking at her. The floor goes quiet after the last operation, and he suggests it's a shame to waste the quiet on paperwork. When Vanessa sneers that the newest nurse won't last, the chief says she's with him tonight, then tells Vanessa to keep everyone out. In the on-call room, Harriet apologizes that her scrubs don't fit right, and he tells her they suit her fine. Episode 2 has her apologizing for swearing at him, Vanessa hovering outside, and the chief saying that's exactly why he picked her.
Where the heat comes from
It's rank, rumors and a locked door: a surgeon who chooses her, a rival waiting in the hall, and a night shift where no one is supposed to hear. Free episodes stay on looks, banter and a closing door, and the rest asks for tokens.
Who it suits
Hospital romance with an underdog who finally gets noticed and a rival listening at the door.
