Family Reunion: My New Step-Cousin

The story

Lea is at a family reunion on a ranch when she meets the newest relative, Jake, a step-cousin who says little and notices plenty. She's curious at once. Her boyfriend, meanwhile, is far more interested in a colt than in her. Jake and Lea agree that they're related only loosely, joke about the quiet ones and stand closer than relatives usually do. The parents see how well they get along and happily arrange a morning ride for the two of them. Episode 2 finds them in a hiding place while the boyfriend wanders outside calling her name, close enough to hear. Her condition is simple: whatever happens has to happen without a sound.

Where the heat comes from

Cousins only by marriage, so the family tree is blurry enough to flirt with. The real spark is a boyfriend a few feet away who must not notice. Episode 1 and episode 2 are sly talk, stolen minutes and a lot of shushing.

Who it suits

Good for anyone who likes a ranch backdrop, an excuse so thin it's practically a dare, and hide and seek with the family nearby.
