The Prince's Last Week Unwed

The story

A week before his royal wedding, the prince is at a contest where the winner is expected to present his ribbon to the woman he's marrying. He gives it to Lady Antonella, his step-cousin, who made a four-day ride to arrive early and hasn't forgotten a night they once shared. The crowd notices, Princess Maren included. Antonella's message is simple: she'll seek him out at the banquet tonight, and his bride can wait. Episode 2 brings the banquet, with the princess promising herself to him tomorrow night and Antonella saying plainly that she wants the man, not the crown. The wine is flowing, the guests are toasting and a curtain is close at hand.

Where the heat comes from

Royal duty against old history: a bride seated beside him, a step-cousin who remembers and a feast with too many curtains. Betrayal is a toast away. Free episodes stay on glances, dares and promises whispered over wine.

Who it suits

For fantasy fans who like candlelit court drama, a bold rival for the bride's place and a prince who hasn't decided who he is.
