The story
A beach resort, a sick wife one floor up and a text asking him to keep Harriet happy all week. That's the stepdad's whole job. Harriet has been planning for longer than he knows. In episode 1 she asks him to put sun cream on her back, then lies to her mother on the phone about how helpful he's being, and finally suggests booking a curtained lounger, supposedly for the shade, on mom's card. Episode 2 brings the confession: three years ago at the wedding she watched him dance, and she hasn't stopped since. Half the pool is staring at her. So is he. Then his wife texts for cookies, and the answer is ten minutes.
Where the heat comes from
It's domestic and risky. A sick wife is within shouting distance, texts arrive at the worst moments, and the stepdaughter is terrible at lying and completely unashamed. Episode 1 and episode 2 stay with flirty banter and near-misses.
Who it suits
Made for anyone who likes a holiday setting, stepfamily taboo played with a comic wink and a wife who's always one text away.
